What are the total fees paid at the airport for a Philippine citizen to leave on a K-1? It seems to be PP 1620 for travel tax and PP 750 for terminal fee. Is that correct?

Is there a second tax or fee for a domestic flight?

Candy will be leaving for New York on Wednesday, first a domestic flight to get to Manila then the flight to New York. I want to send her enough money to pay for these things plus a few extra bucks for food and miscellaneous things during the long travel, but without going into overkill and making her a target for robbery. This is why I ask.

From what I've read 422, those fees you indicated in your post are correct. The domestic flight fee if I remember correctly was 250 pisos from the province. What do you think? Sending 250 or 300 dollars would be reasonable. Any baggage fees? Congratulations on your upcoming marriage and good luck in the future.

yes, those are about the right taxes plus 1620 + 550 pesos at Manila airport. Extra baggage fees could also add about 40 usd, if charged. Depending on her layover times will need some food money. I gave my wife $450 usd and she had a little over 330 usd when arriving in Cleveland, Ohio

Good luck

So you wife went through $120. I was thinking maybe $200 is enough, and that looks like about right.

There will be no baggage fees, BTW, because we have it planned. Candy weighed her luggage, andI I already paid the baggage fees to Cebu Pacific, which wil take her from Tugegaro to Manila, online.

That is it for fees. Terminal fee is only P550 (not P750 for now). The travel tax (P1620) can be paid at the airport, the counter is at the front of the terminal between the two luggage scanners. Remember airport food is expensive... ;)

OK I will send her $250, No real robbery danger difference between $200 and $250.

No problem with the 3 hours she will need. SHe will have more than that when she gets to Manila.

One plane change in Shang Hai. 3 hour layover. Same airline at both ends so no baggage to handle.

It should work oujt fine.

I will report how much money she has left in New York in case anyone needs the number as a guide, along with the exact taxes and fees paid in Manila.

Thanks all for the advice.
