Hi all,

Sorry, I've been searching and searching, but haven't uncovered a topic that matched the circumstances. I have two questions that I bolded for easier reading.

Question, I am the U.S. citizen and my fiance is a student in the U.S. as well. We're filling out the G-325a form and under previous addresses neither of us can remember what her address of 4 years ago was. Annoying I can remember the street and how to get there, but since we both live in a different state now, it's impossible for us to go back to get the address. We also don't have the previous tenant's phone number, and of course joy of joys, Google Maps has every single street AROUND where she lived, but not the actual street so I can't look up the address that way either... :(So, what would you do in that situation? Guess the address or write an approximate address?

Then question 2, and part of the reason neither of us can remember the previous address is because my fiance spent most of her time at my house for the past 6 years that I've known her. I don't know what to put for an exact "move in" date for her because it was gradual. Her TV, a couch, a few DVDs and makeup kits, etc etc, eventually made it over a period of maybe 3 months. What's the worst that could happen if I get an RFE? Would I just say "Yes, she lived with me, here's a picture of her in my house?" How would I prove she lived with me if it was just us two?

Thanks a ton for any advice on the matter in advance, I am so grateful for a forum like this. Looking forward to getting to know those around as well!

Hi I wish you all luck with your address search and with your visa. As far as your first question about addresses there are several ways that you can locate an old address, but you might have to did a little. You could try to Google yourself, or you could do a search on the Yellowpages.com. The yellowpages is how I was able to find my old addresses, or if you lived in an apartment complex you could Google that complex and then call and get address. Also if none of those work, you cold always try a phone bill or utility bill that maybe you have an automatic pay or email sent to you instead of paper, maybe you did not change the address. Finally you could always contact your employer and see what they have on file. If none of those work, try obtaining your W-2 for tax purposes or go online and obtain your tax transcripts, it will have the addresses where you filled from and maybe the old address is on there.

As far as when you guys moved into together, it is going to have to be something legal, that you can prove. When someone was added to the lease, if someone has there name on a utility bill, or even you can check on the USPS website and see when you changed the address from old to current. You could also look and see when someone canceled there old lease and use that as proof since there was never a new leased signed, obviously that person is staying somewhere. You could look at mail, if a family or friend started sending you letter, or your significant other letters, at the address that you share, keep the envelopes you can use that as proof of residency. Or you can use an ID, School ID, anything that would require you to add your address to it. These dates maybe not be exactly at the beginning of when you moved it, but it does prove residency.

Wish you all the luck and hopefully I gave you some ideas that can help you start on your search.:idea::idea:

If she is in the US with you on a student visa, then why not get married in the US and file the I-130 and the I-485 at the same time, if she has no 2 year home country requirement? Why are you attempting a K-1 for a fiance(e)?

I would just write her address without the number.

For my form I forgot my address from just 2 years ago. I only remembered the suburb and province and the name of the apartment buildings that was it. So that's all I wrote.

Hi all, thank you for the replies I appreciate it.

I should have been more clear, my fiance already went back to her home country (Vietnam) where she is now. Her student visa was up so she returned. That's why we're doing a fiance visa.

My question was answered though, she only registered at one address, her original sponsor. All other places she lived, she was just "crashing" the party so to speak. She never had a phone bill in her name, nor did she ever sign a lease. So I guess that means the only address for her to put is the original sponsor address.

As for me, tried the yellowpages with no luck, but I wont give up yet! Haha.

Again thank you all so far for the replies.
