Proving domicile-- bank accounts

I am finalizing the Affidavit of Support package for NVC. To prove domicile, I'm going to include evidence of my checking account and an account my grandmother set up for me before her death (among other things). Would a recent statement from each account be sufficient? The most recent statement from my checking account shows no activity. Does this matter? I assume not, since I'm just trying to show they exist, but I wanted to ask anyway.

Well you should have things other than just your bank accounts to prove where you live. Like a lease or utility bills or a mortgage or something. I think they're going to need a little more than just bank statements. Where do you live?

I guess you didn't see the part in parentheses where I put "among other things." Knowing what to include is not my concern. My concern is whether the most recent statement from each account is sufficient, even if one of those statements will show no activity.

No, I saw it. I just thought it was referring to other things your grandmother had set up for you.

Your post started off with the premise, "To prove domicile, I'm going to include evidence of my checking account", then you talked about your bank accounts and then you said, "Would a recent statement from each account be sufficient?" And following the progression of your post it would seem you were asking if a statement from each bank account be sufficient to prove domicile. That's what I was answering. And no, recent bank statements would not be sufficient to prove domicile.

And no, I don't see recent activity making any difference. Activity or non-activity in a bank account doesn't prove or disprove domcile either way.
