Hi i will have my interview for K1 this July 11 but my I-129F wxpiration will be on 3rd of July? What should i do?Does it affect my application?

Don't worry about it. The US embassy in Manila will automatically extend it as long as they can see in their system that your application is active; that is, you have paid for your visa fee and you have a scheduled interview appointment.

Just curious... Two questions:

1. Once I-129F petition is approved, how long do you have to respond with the proper documents (when the Consular sends you the packet)? What is the normal expiration date?

2. Once K1 visa is issued, how long do you have to enter the country? Expiration date....

I know that once you enter the U.S you have 90 days to get married... just wondering about the two questions above, since I will have to notify my employer and train the new person who will replace me.

@Ritch Mar : The consular office at Manila do have the authority to extend your I-129F approved petition till the date of your interview, and in case of administrative processing is required the consular office will extend the validity of your petition as needed.

@sweetgal8 1.I'm going to say ASAP, as I understand 30 days 2. K1 is issued for 6 months with 1 entry

Since you have scheduled your interview before July 3 then your case has been extended and so no need to worry. The July 3 is the deadline in which you need to schedule an appointment interview with the consulate.

1. 4 months. That is NOA2 approval until expiration.

2. 6 months. Interview/visa approval until expiration.

Thanks guys/girls for answers! I was worried a bit that I won't have a lot of time to contact my fiance as he is deployed! He should be back by then. Thanks
