Hello!

Fiancee sent out Packet 3 to the US Embassy in Guangzhou last week and we are waiting for the email back to set the interview appointment....

A few questions, I'm hoping people can help with:

From my end:

I am gathering the documents to send to him and wondering if I should send now--

- I-134F

- W2 for 2013 (I only worked September to December in 2013, because I just returned to the States after being in Asia)

- Immigration letter with my salary (My company uses a third party, this is their document)

- 4 current paystubs

- Another letter of intent dated in May

- Tax return 2013 (do I need this??)

**Please let me know if you think I should include anything else and if I should send everything now or wait to hear if he needs additional information

From his end:

Since he is still waiting to hear back from the consulate, what should he get started on now and what should he wait on until he hears back?

- Medical Check

- Police certificate

- White book translations

- Payment (this one has to be after we hear back, because that is how we schedule the interview, correct?)

**Please add anything additional and advise on when he should start... Also, if anyone knows where in Guangzhou is a good place to get the white book translations, please let me know!!!

Thanks!

We are anxiously waiting... but since it is really hard for him to get time off from his job, I want to make sure we have enough time to get everything done before the interview! Thankfully, he lives in Guangzhou-- about two hours to the consulate, but it will make things a little easier.

has he set up an account at ustraveldocs.com/cn

then paid the visa application fee at CITIC Bank

then noted the receipt # in the system?

until he does that - he won't get scheduled

and

once he does that - he can self-schedule.

Hi Darnell,

He just sent P3 (his DS160 with passport photos and photo copy of passport, etc) last week .

From what I understand, he has to wait for P4 to happen before he can pay and schedule his interview?

We are still waiting for the P4 email, but are just wondering if we should/can get a head start on some things before P4 happens.

Thanks for the quick reply!

One more question!

What the best service to use to mail my documents from the US to China?

I am afraid that things will get "lost" in the mail!

The U.S. postal Services' Priority Mail International and Priority Mail Express international allow door-to-door tracking through their own tracking site and China's EMS tracking site. They deliver to any door in China serviced by China Post, China's mail delivery system.

UPS, DHL and FedEx also offer package tracking services to any location that they service.
