Not really. When I am mad, I can call a woman a ##### or a ####, and I am a feminist. When you want to hurt someone, you hurl at them everything you got, including racial slurs.

I find it problematic that a person deserves a beating because of something they said (aka called them by that name which they themselves call each other), but not because he ###### whipped a girl.

Did you even read the article? Did you comprehend why I made the comment I made? I think not -- what the father said was not the big problem, it was what he did. Let me help you -- the girl's father pushed that kid. It was bad enough he used a racial slur, then he doubled down and pushed the kid.

If you don't feel that protecting, defending, and standing up for a child is a parent's obligation -- fine, if that works for you. However, most rational adults take exception to an unrelated adult assaulting a child. The father should've let it be known to the kids parents If he disapproved of his daughter associating with their kid. That would've been adult thing to do and the proper way to handle it.

Yeah, he created the Catholic Church, made Christianity the roman state religion and put together the bible as a collection of existing writings. I was mostly kidding, but Christianity was fairly small before this. What Constantine did was make Christianity a true organized religion under the guise of the Catholic Church. How much influence he had in what became the bible is the real question. He claims to have been converted after God sent a meteor before a battle he subsequently won, you know because of God. So was he a pious man that wanted the real word to shine through or was he looking for a new organized religion to help him bring the Roman Empire back under one flag? How much was the bible was selected or tweaked to that aim? The Catholic Church reeks of Romanism for obvious reasons. Modern day Christianity spun off the one Christian church. Some carry a lot of the same traditions (episcopal) and some not so much (baptists). But they all base everything off the bible collection that was put together by the early catholic church.
