Hi everyone, I graduated BSn in the philippines 5 yrs ago. But didn't pursue it after I graduated. Reason, I'm under board/ unlicensed. So I dont have any working/ hospital experience. I'm migrating in the US, we're still on the process for my spouse immigrant visa/cr1 application. We've just sent the ds-260. We're not sure what's next. Or when will the interview came? Anyone knows pls comment here :)

My questions

1. I want to pursue my nursing career now, but how?

Im really having a hard time, I already went to allnurses.com and still very confusing

I'm afraid, because it's been 5 years since I've graduated from college and I'm already 27 yrs old. I'm not sure if nursing is really for me. What to do? Like what important school documents I need to prepare??? How would I know if I'm eligible to take NCLeX?

If not? And I need to study refresher course and would take me two yrs I'm th school again, would it be worth it ?

Any better suggestion? Salamat :)

2. My husband already bought a ticket for me to fly with him when he get back to US, hoping Ill get my visa by then, we're still waiting for my interview appointment and medical. Is it possible I could get my visa by July? :(

We've just completed and sent ds-260 this may.

3. What's next after ds-260?

We've waiting for so long. I can't wait to be with him :(

Thanks everyone. Mabuhay!

Here is a link to the Texas Board of Nursing which explains the NCLEX-RN requirements for foreign-trained applicants: http://www.bon.texas.gov/licensure_examination.asp
