Hello vj members! I found this site through a friend and thought someone here might be able to help me.

my question is to any of the members that got their PCC done in Mumbai, India. I just filled out the AOS fee and form and next is the IV fee and form. I was told by a family member that PCC takes about a week or two to do but my husband registered online at Passport seva to get passport clearance and the automatic date generated to get it is late June, this is a while from now! I was wondering if there is a quicker way to get the passport clearance in Mumbai? PLEASE HELP we do not want to wait a over a month to just get the PCC!!

hi guys...my husband lives in Thane and he applied for the PCC online through the passportindia website and the date he got was end of june! is this correct? should he go to the passport office to inquire? we are suppose to submit the IV form next week but do not have the PCC....if we really have to wait until end of june this will delay things a lot for us. PLEASE HELP!

I applied for my PCC in Mumbai in April. I didn't take an online appointment. I showed up at the Passport Seva Kendra (PSK)in Andheri (E) as early as 9am and I was allowed in without any issue. After I applied, the whole PCC process took a little over 3 weeks.

My IV packet was ready at the time when the PCC process was on. Going by suggestions of people here on VJ, I sent my IV packet without the PCC with a note saying that I will have the PCC presented at the consulate at the time of the interview.

I had no problems in getting my case complete at the NVC. I have now got my interview date confirmation ( for June 17th) and in the mail they have mentioned the PCC as one of the documents that I have to carry with me for the interview.

I would suggest you go ahead with the IV packet and not wait for the PCC based on my experience. And with the regards the PSK appointment, please walk in with whatever documents you have to show them that your are in a US immigrant visa processing stage.
