MY IMMIGRATION JOURNEY IS OFFICIALLY FINISHED!!

I have been in-line for interview since April 25. It really depends on your field office, also depends on when your actual 3-yr and 5-yr resident since date is. My 3-yr date is June 17, so on Saturday I will be a month away from my 3 yr date so I am hoping I get an interview letter sometime in the next week or so since I will finally be less than a month away :)

My Journey:

We met through a study-abroad program in Shanghai, China in August of 2009

We got engaged March of 2010

I received my K1 VISA in 6 months (June-December 2010)

We were married 04/02/2011
I received my conditional 2-year greencard (AOS) in 2.5 months with no interview (April-June 2011)

Our son was born 02/03/2013

I received my masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology 04/17/2013

I received my 10-year greencard (ROC) in 3 months with no interview (March-June 2013)

My husband returned from deployment 06/20/2013

My naturalization journey took 4 months (April-August 2014)

I became a US citizen on 08/01/2014

Received passport in 3 weeks (regular processing)

Thank you, VJ! smile.png

I have my greencard since 9 years and live in pa since 7 years and married for 6years.

Don't worry once you are in-line for interview that means you'll get an appointment date soon.. :)

As other members have commented it actually depends on your local office and bit of luck as well. I got FP on 3/26 but got inline for interview on 5/2 which is a month before my 5 years anniversary. On the other hand some people get inline 2-3 days after FP but then have to wait sometime to be scheduled for interview. Bottom line it is not really predictable. Having said that you can follow others in your district to take a look at the trend.

Agree with the above. I was placed in line today 05/16 and had a bio date of 05/02. Today marks 30 days before 5th year anniversary of residency.
