Do you get an NOA for AOS?

Very possibly a stupid question, but when I applied for my K-1 visa we got an NOA (as I am sure everyone here is aware is the case), but does this also happen when you apply for AOS? I sent my package last Wednesday and it was received on May 9th (according to USPS tracking), but I have not heard anything yet despite including a G-1145 e-Notification form.

Yes, you should get 3 of them. 1 each for I-485, I-131, and I-765.

It can take up to a month to issue NOA1s.

Agreed with Harpa. 3 NOAs, normally having 3 consecutive receipt numbers.

In my case, I was given e-notifications a week after they received my AOS package. It has been mentioned here though that it can take 30 days for uscis to send NOA. Just keep checking if the check has been cashed.

Thanks! So is this potential month included in the waiting time? So for example its about 2 months (though I realise it can be longer) to get EAD, does that 2 months begin after you get your NOA1s?

The wait starts from then the NOA1s are dated, but I do think they are backdated to the day they received the package, though I can't entirely remember for our AOS.

Expect 90 days to get EAD and hope for better. Trust me Many threads and anxiety happens because people start to get antsy around day 67.
