Hi everyone we getting our documents ready for my fiance interview and would like to know is there a difference between the w2 and tax transcript and which one do we need please??

my parents are co-sponsoring us since am a student .

When you decide to use Tax Transcripts, you will not need the W2. But if you choose to use the Tax Returns, then you will need the W2, and all the work schedule for the Tax returns.

BTW, when is your interview?

am getting the date on Wednesday.. am just confused..lol ok what are the other paper works for the tax returns ? we have w2 now

You will need your pay stub, W2, Tax Returns with all the Work Schedules. And you will be needing the 2013 Tax information.

PS: if you have the Tax transcripts, that will be the only thing you will need.

According to what has been previously posted by people who have gone through the Accra embassy the tax transcripts are required, not optional. As precious poster said if you have this it is all that you will need.
