My wife is petitioning for her kids (15 and 17). Here's our timeline if it helps anybody:

May 6 2013: Sent I-130's

Dec 19 2013: I-130's approved

Feb 5-9 2014: NVC case numbers assigned

Feb 11 2014: Paid AOS fee

Feb 26 2014: Paid IV fee

Mar 6 2014: Completed DS-260

May 7 2014: Case complete emails

We had one IV checklist for the boy's (age 17) police certificate, but in Costa Rica, minors can't request one, so we had to email them this info and they acccepted it. It wasted an extra month, the email communication is very slow. It takes 2 weeks just to get a confirmation email that they received your email, even before they look at it. Ridiculous.

Anyways, the email says that they will mail the papers to the embassy in Costa Rica and they will let us know when an interviews are scheduled.

I doubt anybody can answer them with any certainty since all embassies are different, but we have 2 questions:

1. About how long until they notify us that they have set the interviews?

2. How much in advance are the interviews set?

TIA
