My spouse lives in Nigeria and he cannot receive mail at his physical address so he has a pobox. on the 864 the form wants his mailing address. can I put his po box address without them getting confused about it being different from his physical address I put on the previous petition forms?

Yes, you can put separate mailing addresses and residence addresses on the I-864, without confusing anybody. That's why they ask for them separately.

Use the same address he used the first time. since you been approved. all correspondence will be through the email once you fill the ds261 form

Terrible advise. Answer all questions with the truth. If you can't receive mail at your residence address, it is NOT your mailing address, whether there will be any mail or not. If you moved since petition approval, give the new address. Truth, folk, is essential in this process, ALWAYS.

Bear in mind though, that if the visa package is to be delivered rather than picked up, it cannot be "delivered" to a PO Box. That issue would be decided and taken care of at the interview.

Thank you, as mine is in Nigeria also and them receiving mail is a huge issue. I have sent many packages that have never been received and a PO Box is about the best solution for them actually receiving the mail.

But knowing that I will be receiving whatever is sent to them also gives me true piece of mind.

I thank you so much!
