Hi there, I'm new to this site. I'm in the UK and married to a US citizen who also lives in the UK. We have three small children, all US citizens.

My husband may be offered a US job starting around April so I'd like to get a visa as quickly as possible.

We're doing DCF through London and posted our I-130 today, and we're getting all our other documents ready (including feverishly submitting late tax returns).

I was wondering if there's any point in applying for a K3 visa as well as the immigrant spouse visa. Is it a faster way into the US when you're doing DCF?

Also was wondering if anyone knows of a good accountant who does tax returns for US citizens living abroad?

I have actually been through this before... Just before we got married in 1999 I applied for a K1 Fiance Visa, moved to the US, adjusted my status, then a few weeks later moved back to the UK and have been here ever since, so had to abandon my Green Card (galling, believe me!).

J - If you're eligible for DCF, you don't need the K3. They will issue his visa at the consulate and you will continue with the AOS once you're in the states.

You already have the fastest path. K3 could take a year.
