Hi!

I was selected for the DV2015 program, but my last and first name got swapped somehow (might be my mistake and an incorrect form entry)... Both names are spelled correctly and all other information is also correct.

Is it a huge issue or it can be resolved? What next steps should be if it can be resolved?

Thank you!

Honestly don't know the answer to this. Technically you can be denied for incorrect names on the application. In practice it seems to vary by consulate and country. I'd say send your forms in (with correct names) to KCC and hope for the best...

What country are you from?

You will complete the online application and use your correct name. The difference may cause a red flag on your case at KCC, but they won't disqualify you at that point - simply send your file to the embassy with a note to look into the discrepancy. They may also check the database for other entries in your name in the correct order (i.e. suspecting multiple entries). If they find that, you would be disqualified at interview (thus losing your processing fees) AND probably pick up a ban from entering the USA.

At the interview. you can demonstrate your real name (with documents such as Passport etc) and then explain the error. It should not be a disqualifying error (assuming they do not suspect fraud).

Thank you! Will try that and will hope for the best!

Thanks for your advice!

You didn't enter it wrong, they display it the same for everyone LAST, FIRST MIDDLE. Good Luck!

Thanks for you support, but unfortunately I did. I've got to use my first name to check DV2015 results, not my last name as it supposed to be (yeah, I went through multiple unsuccessful attempts before I decided to try my first name instead of last name and it did go through).
