Hi guys I am filling out my n-400 form. I downloaded it from the website.

The application insist that I type "N/A" on everything, but many of the empty spaces do not allow N/A. Spaces such as spouse, children information, time outside USA, other names used since birth, etc. The application also insist that I don't leave any blank spaces, but some of the hints say to only fill out certain things if it is applicable. For example, it asked if my father is a U.S. citizen, if yes, fill out the information below. I chose no, so do I just leave those spaces blank? Tried typing N/A in there but it do not allow me.

The instructions on this form is terrible considering it is a government form.

Downloaded from chrome.

Hello u can write NONE!

Even on the part where it asked for Other Name(s) You Have Used Since Birth? You know I don't want to put "none" in that box in case they think my name use to be "none" so do I just leave it empty.

I downloaded it and doing it on the computer so the barcode is there on the computer.

I noticed if u do it on the browser the barcode wont print but if u download it, it does.

By the way do I have to write anything in these boxes below? Because on the pdf file I downloaded, it works well with the barcode and everything, it's just that it wouldn't allow me to type "n/a" and also I can't type anything in some of the boxes like in #10 in the pic I posted. Do I just leave the space empty as it is?

Yes, you already answered #10 when you checked "No" so just leave those other spaces blank. The same applies to the other questions. Like #18, you checked "No" so those others (a & b) don't apply and you leave them blank.
