All of the information I have found on visajourney guides and on the USCIS instructions say that you need the following for the I134:

(A) Statement from an officer of the bank/financial institution with your deposits, identifying the following: 1. date account opened; 2. total amount deposited for the past year; 3. present balance

(B) Statement(s) from your employer on business stationary showing: 1. Date and nature of employment; 2. salary paid; 3. whether position is temporary or permanent (also include copies of your last two pay stubs and your previous W-2 for the associated employer if available)

© If Self Employed: 1. Copy of last income tax return filed (or IRS transcripts); or 2. report of commercial rating concern

(D) List containing serial numbers and denominations of bonds and name of record owner(s).

I'm not sure where the information about 3 years of tax returns is found. I haven't been able to find it.

Can anyone provide a link confirming baron555's advice?

Very confused.

Some countries require that you provide a tax transcript and will not accept tax returns, pay stubs, or w-2's. As was stated tax transcripts are official.

Those instructions are not for a K-1 visa. This is for the K-1 visa, if you will be going through Montreal > http://photos.state.gov/libraries/canada/303578/montreal/Packet3-K1-MTL.pdf

Typical supporting evidence with an I-134 is most recent tax transcript, letter from employer and/or recent pay stubs. Those that are self-employed tend to use the last 3 years to document and prove their income, since the tax returns are all they use for proof of income.

Thank you so much for the clarification. I will get tax transcripts instead of W2s.

Thank you so much for the clarification. I will get tax transcripts instead of W2s.

You can use the W-2s, but in conjunction with the rest of the tax return. A transcript just has everything all in one, and no need for the W-2s, if you use a transcript. You will need the Total Income from the last 3 years of taxes when it comes time for AOS and providing the I-864, so might as well print off the last 3 years of transcripts. As with the I-134, you will only need to actually submit the most recent year's transcript with the I-864. http://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Get-Transcript
