Hi everyone!

I saw that we needed to do a cover letter here: http://www.visajourney.com/content/i130guide1

Does anyone have advice on the format and how this should be done?

Also, does this evidence seem Ok for us?

- Joint bank account statement

- 10 pictures of us together over our 4 year relationship / marriage

- 3 affidavits from family/friends

- Flights taken together and corresponding passport stamps

Thanks so much!

Hi thanks so much!

I just noticed that in your cover letter and in this link http://www.visajourney.com/content/i130guide2 it looks like I have to include the beneficiary's birth certificate but in this link http://www.visajourney.com/content/i130guide1 it looks like it is no longer needed.

What is correct?

I am sorry for asking so many questions but I do not want to make mistakes!

Thanks!

1) Cover letter is NOT required... It will help but not necessary,

2) Are you filing i130?

if yes.... you will need basic documents listed here. The above mentioned proof is enough...

http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-130instr.pdf

3) If your i130 is approved and you have been assigned a NVC case # then you need to complete DS261, AOS fee, IV fee, and DS260. (All of this is online)

for AOS- follow these instructions: http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/immigrant-process/documents/support/instructions.html

for IV - follwo these insturctions : http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/immigrant-process/documents/submit/documents-to-submit-to-nvc.html
