After NOA2

Hi All

My NOA2 was approved on April 14th. USCIS website states that said approval was shipped on April 23rd.

My questions are:-

Would it be reasonable to expect that the NVC would have assigned a case number by May 6th (2 weeks)?

Do I just email them after this anticipated date for my case number or will they contact me?

I have started gathering my documents so that when I receive Packet 3 I can complete visa app online almost immediately. Am i on the right path?

It can take 2 weeks+ for the package to get to the NVC Then a bit of time there and then DHL to the Embassy. Then some processing time there. I can not speak for Jamaica but Our k1 was approved Apr 7th and was just checked in to the Embassy on 4/29/2014. Please see my timeline in my Signature. if it has been 2 weeks please give the NVC a call and if they have it an it is in their system they can give you the new tracking number. It may take many calls but keep at it.

I got my snail mail copy about a week after I had gotten the number from the NVC. Best to call. 603 334 0700 NVC Number

Call and get ur KNG number, you will need that for your correspondence with the embassy.
