My boyfriend is currently making about 3x the minimum wage requirement for a spouse sponsorship, and has for the last 3 years. However, he lives in Virginia and we hope (if the visa gets approved) to move to San Diego in May/June 2015. As of right now, when filling out the forms, we have put his Virginian address, so I have a few questions about this.

1) Will there be a problem with us moving down to California if the adress in the forms are of his current apartment?

2) He hopes to be able to work the same job down in Cali as they have a center in San Diego, but if this is not possible, will there be any issues for him to work a less paid job? My parents will help out with half of the rent as long as I need to get up on my feet, but just by looking at the legal sides of this, is it feasible for us to make the move to Cali?

Great community, thank you for all the help you have given us on our journey so far!

You say boyfriend and profile states K-1, though you also said spouse. I am guessing you are filing for a K-1 even though you mentioned a spouse.

Moving once you enter with the K-1 is not a problem. You would just use your current address on the adjust of status forms. Your husband(once you enter with the K-1 and marry within 90 days of entry) will need to submit an I-864 with your AOS forms, so how much less he will make could be an issue. If he does not meet the income requirement for the i-864, then he will need a joint sponsor. Requirement for income is not 3 times minimum wage. It is 125% of the poverty level for your household size. See the guidelines > http://www.uscis.gov/i-864p
