I NEED A JOINT SPONSOR AND PLEASE CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT ALL WAS NEEDED, PLEASE LIKE DID YOU HAVE TO FILL OUT A I-864 FORM? PLEASE PLEASE HELP

Yes I went through that process. I had to fill out the I-864 form for both my joint sponsor n my husband. If the CO ask for a specific yr for tax return get it, plus the other docs that were required.

You fill out the I-864, and if your joint sponsor lives with you they fill out I-864A, if not, they too should fill out I-864. Good luck...

Are you sure you guys are talking about the correct form? The OP is still in the K1 petition stage; Affidavit of Support is required at the consulate approval stage (ie. pre interview), and the form for this is I-134.

Form I-864 is Affidavit of Support during the period of Adjustment of Status, which you commence once entered the US and successfully married under the K1 visa.

Two different forms for different stages in the process albeit with similar functions. All this is documented clearly in the excellent VJ guides.

Although it doesn't hurt to be prepared, for the purposes of clarity perhaps the OP doesn't need to worry too much about either form at this early stage? I would be seeking to get the petition approved first. Just my two cents.

You are a K-1, you fill out I-134 and so does your joint sponsor. The joint sponsor needs to prove legal status, letter from employer, checkstubs, W-2s, and copy of recent taxes.

Thanks everybody, So okay my sponsor is my cousin she doesnt live with me. So to make it clear to me My cousin has to do I-134 and I-864 form alone with other forms Correct and I did the I-134 form already but I have to do the I-864 form. Its a K-1 visa process.

NO, you only have to complete the I -134. The other info is wrong. Your cousin needs to provide checkstubs, letter from employer, W-2s, copy of current taxes. Also, your co-sponsor has to prove legal status. Birth certificate, passport, green card are evidence of proof of legal status.
