Go to the SSN office and apply. What is stopping you if you have waited for 3 weeks?

Wife got her SSN after a week of applying at ssn office.

My wife had her POE a month ago and didnt get a SSN card in the mail. We went to the SSA office yesterday and they said a number was already issued and they were not sure why it didn't show up in the mail. We just applied for a replacement that should arrive witihin a week. They did give her the number, and a paper saying that she has a SSN and replacement will be sent out..She said that's all they need at the DMV as well.

Seems like enumeration at entry is a hit or miss when it comes to automated SSN cards being mailed out. She did tell me to wait 3 weeks before coming into the SSN office. I went 2 weeks after POE and they didn't have her information, and refused for her to apply for another one.

Hope this helps.
