02/18/2011 - Engagement party with relatives - propose in Visayan.

02/24/2011 - K-1 packet sent.

09/18/2011 - POE, Viva Las Vegas, Baby !!!!! Home to Phoenix.

12/10/2011 - Official Wedding

07/05/2012 - Princess Rose born.

07/07/2012 - AP/EAD received.

07/17/2012 - AOS passed. (Birthday for Mama Rayos)

Hank, two daughters - Princess Rose (21 months) and Tiffany Tatiana (9 months), getting a van (6 in the family now) moving around, making sure wife is on good birth control, and basically just really enjoying life!

(Pinays and pills don't go well.)

(besides child support, contempt of court, medical bills, typooons, boys wanting the "nwest" video games, and vaccination schedules, and my family going nuts over the age of my wife plus the additional children.....more family emigrating from Philippines. Almost all of one family here now.)

02/18/2011 - Engagement party with relatives - propose in Visayan.

02/24/2011 - K-1 packet sent.

09/18/2011 - POE, Viva Las Vegas, Baby !!!!! Home to Phoenix.

07/05/2012 - Princess Rose born.

07/07/2012 - AP/EAD received.

Other pinay mommies and soon-to-be mommies are welcome to join as well. I have a 15 month old now :)

My Journey:

We met through a study-abroad program in Shanghai, China in August of 2009

We got engaged March of 2010

I received my K1 VISA in 6 months (June-December 2010)

We were married 04/02/2011
I received my conditional 2-year greencard (AOS) in 2.5 months with no interview (April-June 2011)

Our son was born 02/03/2013

I received my masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology 04/17/2013

I received my 10-year greencard (ROC) in 3 months with no interview (March-June 2013)

My husband returned from deployment 06/20/2013

My naturalization journey took 4 months (April-August 2014)

I became a US citizen on 08/01/2014

Received passport in 3 weeks (regular processing)

You have to admit, despite the responsibilities and headaches and your US family questioning your sanity, you really have a great life there. I am very happy for the two of you.

The rest of us? Well, we are adrift in our singleness, working the system as you did to get our brides over here so we can have what you have now. And we will all get there as you did.

All, just hang in there.... I know it is a long process and wait.... But once you are together it is worth it.

I am hanging in there, and so is my wonderful fiance. 5 weeks and 5 days to inverview day, so we are so close to the finish line we can smell it.

Of course the prize is worth it. Never had any doubt about that.

Just thinking about a "knife" in that area is "cringe" worthy..... The "bobbit" thing keeps on coming to miind over and over..... Maybe something to do, but wife is still young yet. She is saying no more children, but we want to be sure before making the final cut.... Give her another 10 years to be fully sure.... some things just aren't easy to reverse once done.
