Previous marriage and N 400

Hello

I have submitted application for my wife N400 two weeks ago. Instead submitting Divorce decree i have submitted Final order of Marriage dissolution so what will happen to her application? any body willng to share theior knowledge on this issue?

I believe the "Final order of Marriage dissolution" is in leau of the Final Decree of Divorce. But someone can correct me if I'm wrong. As having a "Final order of Marriage dissolution" is indicative of the fact that it was not a standard run-of-the-mill divorce. In your case, there is no Decree.

I believe its going to depend on what your state calls it. In my state the "Final order of Marriage dissolution" includes every aspect of the divorce settlement and the judges decision. By filing a separate paper with the court, we can get a simple "Divorce Decree", which basically states your were officially divorced on this particular date. The later is 2 pages, the former can be hundreds of pages depending on how complex the divorce was.
