I know this is a stupid question but is a CR1 visa different from a K3?

Ok..here's my timeline of sorts:

October 15, 2004: went to India

October 17, 2004: got engaged

October 23, 2004: got married!!!!

Dec. 22, 2004: went to U.S. Embassy, New Delhi-told to come back 9am the next morning

Dec. 23, 2004: filed I-130 at Delhi embassy

Jan 12, 2005: I came back to the U.S. :-(

Jan. 13, 2005: my husband went to Mumbai embassy personally to get packet 3

Jan. 15, 2005: sent out forms from packet 3

around the 2nd week of Feb: received interview date!!!! MARCH 18!!!!!

Feb. 16, 2005: sent out I-864 and other ppwk to my husband via DHL

Feb 20, 2005:[/color] husband received DHL pkg

end of Feb/beginning of March: went for medical

March 18, 2005 @ 7:30am: INTERVIEW!!!!!!!!!! Got Visa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

March 27, 2005: my husband comes to the U.S.!!!!!!

April 9, 2005: Husband received his greencard!

April 20, 2005: Went to Social Security office to change my name and also applied for my husband's SS card since it hadn't arrived yet

April 29, 2005: Recieved both Social Security Cards!

23 Sept 2006 Received IMBRA RFE by postal mail (postmarked 20 Sept 2006)

25 Sept 2006 Response to IMBRA RFE sent Priority Mail w/Delivery Confirmation

29 Sept 2006 Rec'd Email stating RFE received

1 Oct 2006 Touched - Same RFE rec'd message

17 Oct 2006 NOA-2 Rec'd via Email

23 Oct 2006 NOA-2 Rec'd via Postal Mail

9 Nov 2006 Email from NVC (response to my inquiry) w/NVC case# - file to Lagos 6 Nov

13 Nov 2006 Received NVC letter via Postal Mail

20 Nov 2006 Fiance went to Lagos Consulate- Interview Date Received

7 Feb 2007 Interview-VISA GRANTED!!! -

12 Feb 2007 Visa in Hand!!! ***Scheduled arrival 23 Feb 2007***

23 Feb 2007 Arrived JFK USA!!!

12 May 2007 Married

23 May 2007 Filed AOS

25 May 2007 Rec'd NOA1

yes they are. a cr1 is an immigrant visa, a k3 is a non-immigrant visa. u must apply 4 the cr1 b4 u can apply 4 the k3. if u use the k3 u will hav 2 eventually get the immigrant visa, either thru finishing the cr1 process or doing adjustment of status.

2006-10-02 DS-3032 and AOS Fee Bill generated

2006-10-05 Received email confirmation of agent of choice

2006-10-06 NVC posts AOS fee payment

2006-10-09 IV Fee Bill generated

2006-10-12 Affidavit of Support package sent overnight USPS

2006-10-21 IV Fee Bill received

2006-10-23 IV Fee Bill mailed overnight

The reason I ask is because I am preparing the cover letter and I am writing that my husband entered the US on a CR1 visa(b/c technically he did)...i'm not sure if that will make any difference or not.
