What to do on question 2 on a I-9 form???

Hi guys. My husband from Germany has a k-1 visa and we are waiting for his green card to be approved. We are expecting his work permit in the mail sometime this month. So he found a job that will take him as soon as his work permit arrives. When we fill out the I-9 form on question 2 in the part where it asks" if you obtained your admission number from CBP I'm connection with your arrival I'm the United States include the following: foreign passport number: Country of issuance: " our question is, do we need to fill this out? We got his admission number online and not at the airport so do we need to fill this out? Thank you ???

Btw one more question, for that part we just asked about since we don't need to anwser that question do we leave it blank or put N/A since he got his I-94 number while he was in the us from the website for Uscis?

I-94 is not applicable to you. You are filling out the wrong stuff.

Some visas come "work authorized." Once you enter, the visa is stamped and you are ready to work according to the terms of your I-94.

That is not the case for you.

You are an EAD holder (or will be). I-94 has nothing to do with it. Yours expired anyway.

The I-9 instructions state that you need to give the date the authorization expires (date on the EAD itself) and your A number. Look at item 4 section 1 in the instructions.
