Ok, my lawyer filed the I-601 with an expedite, does an approval come separate from the I-797 reciept, that says how much you paid and gives you the reciept number...or does anyone know if it should be on the I-797?? Thank you! Just curious, my lawyer said she was going to call and push the matter, and see if it needs more..MOstly wandering if you get a second notice. If you are approved for expidites.

What is the reason for expedite if you don't mind me asking? I have to file an I-601 and I have an issue.. not sure it would be considered for an expedite.

Financial hardships, and near death circumstances, and you have to put a piece of evidence per item that you list as a hardship..It goes with the I-601 when you submit it, I had several problems, but I have not heard from them yet to see if they approved it. Here is a link that may help you.

Check these both out, they are experts on the i-601. To my understanding they do not accept being pregnant as a reason to expidite unless your at harm for you and your child, so you would have to have papers from a doctor saying your stressing or in danger and need your spouse home... Hopefully this will help you.

Yes you usually get another notice to be advised that the expedite has been approved.

However you submitted your expedite request with your initial I-601. I've seen some cases (including mine) where they don't even look at your expedite request unless you call and personally request for it to be done. So it's probably a good thing your lawyer is going to call and push for it
