I can't even imagine saying no as a joke. It's the most special moment in a person's life. How ridiculous.

Maybe it was a nervous reflex? :unsure: I know I've put my foot in my mouth on many special ocassions...it's as if I have Terets Syndrome...sigh.

Or maybe you even have Tourette's Syndrome.... :P

I don't know why people are saying "your wedding isn't the time to joke." The last several weddings I've been to went forward with hilarious jokey vows, inside jokes between the bride and the groom, and sometimes family and friends getting in on the act from the peanut gallery. I thought your wedding is just that, your wedding.

How can one claim God cares to judge a fornicator over judging a lying, conniving bully? I guess you would if you are the lying, conniving bully.

Kinda like making a joke about a bomb at an airport don't you think? :oops:

Since no one knows one might be joking at the point you call "bomb!" in an airport, which, if real, could result in deaths, I'd say there is less than zero comparison. However, when you find an instance where joking about "no" at a wedding could potentially result in several deaths, then come back with this answer.

You can go to prison for making a joke about having a bomb at an airport y'know. Last time I checked, you don't go to prison for saying "no" at the altar...
