Flying with out green card.

My green card expires on April 24th, still haven't had my appointment set for my new card (removal of conditions).

Hubby's away working in Texas and he'd like me to come see him. I DO NOT have a stamp in my passport from when I came down here, as I hadn't intended on staying (plans changed lol). I read somewhere in passing that if you need to travel before your new card arrives, your stamp is sufficient. They stamped my airline ticket, not my passport, and USCIS kept the ticket with my packet (lawyer submitted original).

We won't have the extra money for me to fly down to see him until AFTER my card has expired... will I have any issues with a domestic flight?

You are staying within the USA-----they wont ask for a passport or greencard for ID,maybe a Drivers license

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied,that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Awesome! I have everything else, I just won't have my new card before then.

Ya'll just made the man's day. He's been gone for 3 weeks and is missing his wife.
