Hello to all vjers please I need a helpful advise or suggestions

fiancé got interview in September 2013 she was given a work sheet that was submitted next day they ask for name address and phone number of relative neighbor family for them to contact for identification

Now March we still waiting no contact with anyone yet have sent emails finally I was told not email anymore my senator got in contact with them they sent him a mail back that is still under AP

Is it advisable to get an attorney to contact them because the whole process gone on for over 2 years and is frustrating to get left in limbo

I don't think an attorney can do anything. The only thing you can do is wait out the AP.

April 27, 2016: I-751 mailed

May 2: I-751 received

May ??? NOA1

May 12: Check cashed

May 31: Biometrics appointment scheduled

June 1: Biometrics appointment letter arrives!

June 2: Biometrics walk-in

If a senator can't get information a lawyer sure can't. In AP there is nothing you can do but wait. Lawyers have absolutely no power or authority over a governmental body.

They will not tip their hand and tell you what it is they are seeking or looking at. name check watching her no one knows. Sorry wait you must. Hopefully soon you will know.

You need to call the Lagos Consulate. Don't be surprised if they don't have your file because the field investigators do not return files to them on time.

In my case, we have been in AP since December 2013 and they visited my fiancee in Ibadan some 3 weeks ago. After two weeks of the guy's visitation, I called the Consular Section only to be told they are waiting for our file to be returned.

Since it wasn't that long ago, I told my fiancee to call the number used in contacting her. The guy picked up the phone and said there were still more investigations needed and so the file hasn't been returned to the Consulate.

This is some load of BS.

Be advised to go home and marry your girl. Come back and file as a married couple.

One other thing you should know. If your fiance is located in a remote place, good luck on getting anyone to visit her and complete the investigation.

They normally make one long trip to a specific city and conduct their investigations for all affected cases in that area within hours or days,

But maybe they will visit the beneficiary on one day, then come back weeks or months later to visit with neighbors or her work of place. This is what causes the delays majorly. Hence it is beyond the embassy to do something.

If your field investigator decides to spend that time on a personal errand, guess who is suffering from such delays.
