Hello, this is specific to those having applied for a K-1 visa through U.S. Embassy Tunis (I'm sorry, I don't know how to post directly on the Tunisia portal).

My fiancé and I need your help knowing what is the next step. We filed the DS-160 online, we paid the visa application fee, and we went to this website (http://www.ustraveld...visafeeinfo.asp) to try to schedule the appointment for the visa. We go through all the steps and it says "There are currently no appointments available." Hedi has not received any emails or letters with instructions of what documents to gather together (granted, our status was only changed to "ready" on Feb. 21). When should we receive the checklist ("packet 3")? Does anyone have a recent copy for Tunisia? What are we doing wrong, and what else do we need to do, in order to schedule the interview/move on to the next step? Is there another document we need to fill out? Also, should we be calling the embassy to try to schedule an interview over the phone?

Also, Hedi will need to wait a week or two more before he has his renewed passport and police certificates - do we need to wait to have all these documents together before moving on to the next step (i.e. scheduling an interview)? We already filed for the DS-160 (even though he needs his passport renewed, long story), as our lawyer said it wouldn't matter since we have to list the expiration dates anyways.

Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated! This whole process has taken us 10 months now! At least everything is in Tunis now.
