Hi. I would like to ask for help re: interview documents. I just want to prepare the necessary documents ahead. Do I realy need to get a CEMAR for the interview? And do I need to get another copy of NBI Clearance aside from the copy sent to NVC for the IV Packet? Please throw me some light for this one. Thank you :)

Just my "naive" opinion. Just as long as your CENMAR and NBI reports were sent in a "timely" manner, usually within 3 to 6 months from issue, to the consulate/embassy of choice through the, typically, ecensus.com.ph site for example, these reports should be fine. Other may not share my opinion...

Best of luck!

Again, just my opinion, but it would be a good idea to include a new CENMAR. Whether or not this is your first marriage the updated CENMAR will indicate that you are currently married, and hopefully who you are married to. The CENMAR document is new to me - my gal had to get the CENOMAR, so the contents of the CENMAR may be different from the CENOMAR.

If not already submitted to the NVC, bring clear, legible photocopies of civil documents, such as birth and marriage certificates, and any required translations (if translation is needed) to your immigrant visa interview. Original documents and translations can then be returned to you.

Visit U.S. Visa at http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/fees/reciprocity-by-country/RP.html#docs

my husband just had his interview last feb 26 and they did ask for a CeMar. I've been reading posts saying F2A beneficiaries should have their CeMar. I also read somewhere here just because they dont have CeMar she was given 221g. So, I didnt wanna risk it and asked my hubby to get Cemar too. Even though Cemar is not included in the document list in the Interview Letter just bring one just to be on the safe side.

Thank you. Is there a validity date for CEMAR? How about the NBI clearance? Did your husband bring another copy?

He brought the other half of the NBI clearance where it says personal copy.. but they never asked for it bcoz I think the one we sent over to NVC is all they need as long as itz not expired yet. I think the NBI clearance expires 1yr.
