Hello All,

Hope everyone is doing well and every process you are involved in is moving along smoothly.

Quick question, im sure I will have many more later on.

For the G-325a for AOS. Now, first part of my question is we only fill this out for the person changing the status right, not for each person. I mean, it does say applicant, in our case would be my fiance soon to be husband, but i wanted to make sure i dont submit anything less than what they need. So only for him, or both of us?

Second, it asks for the A-Number on the top right corner. I have one as I had a green card and now a citizen, but he doesn't have the number as he hasn't even applied for the GC yet. (this is what made me ask my first question really, they're asking for a number he doesnt have but I had) However, I do remember getting a text message a while back even before the interview saying his A-number was changed, but I changed phones and I cant find that message:( I checked my emails but guess they only texted me. I dont even know if they give any specific number but I just remember that message regarding the A-number. To wrap up, does he, should he have an A-number that we would fill into this form or we leave it blank and they fill that out themselves over there when they approve his GC?

Im sorry if im being confusing :/ I hope i was clear enough.

Thanks for your help.

For a K-1 visa the A# is usually on the NOA2 right above the beneficiary's name--for us that was the only place it was. Some have it written or printed on the K-1 visa and others have said it was written on the I-94 when it was still paper. Check the NOA2 and see if there is a 9 digit number that begins with 'A'.

You only submit the AOS for the foreign spouse or beneficiary so only one G-325A and all questions are in regards to the applicant or foreign spouse.

Good luck,

Dave
