Perfect example of a gun show loop hole. What if this kid wanted to go to school and shoot a classmate or teacher? Now is it unreasonable to restrict the sale of firearms to minors if we restrict the sale of alcohol, lottery tickets, porno to them? I don't think so. Yes kids hunt and kids can use guns but it should be under the supervision of an adult - unless it's in a rural area then I think that's different.

I think that would definitely get popular support, well amongst those who don't take their religion too seriously at least
