2 to 3 weeks from interview date.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

not really.

the visa packet has to be prepared, then wind it's way into the mailroom.

these two bits have queues.

Seriously, if'n it happens faster, burn some joss.

for funs and giggles and blood-pressure pumping,

check out the ceac website status. I'm betting it'll be in 'administrative processing' at the moment.

On the day it switches to 'issued', that's the day the IV Unit lobbed it over to the visa packet generation queue.

CEAC 2/19/2014 - Administrative Processing

CEAC 2/20/2014 - Issued


Passport Tracking 2/20/2014 - Your passport is still with post

Passport Tracking 2/24/2014 - Passport has been received from the consular section, and is currently being processed for delivery

Passport Tracking 2/26/2014 - Your passport is ready for pickup

The location of the CITIC bank was Foshan, China which is literally 45 minutes away from Guangzhou. Since the distance between the two cities were close, the time it takes for the visa in hand would obviously be less. I don't know if you've noticed that there are "Expedited Pick-up Location" that as soon as they receive it from the embassy/consulate, it is available for the same-day location pick -up. If not, most of the VJers claim it to be within 2 weeks time. Hope this is helpful. Thanks!

My wife's interview was Nov 27, and received her Visa on Dec 9. She lived in Hefei, Anhui Province.

Congrats on approval, and the time will pass !
