Best way to send only 1000 peso to Phillipines?

Xoom is great--but it has a $50 minimum.

WU for me is a horrid basket case. The only "money in minutes cost $5--now this is fine, but I must pay by credit card....The CC considers it a cash advance, so it accrues interest from day one-----that's fine...Oh, and 5%------that's fine too...but C'mon.........$10 minimum? That creates a $16 fee to send $23-----boo. I called Bank America, and Chase bank... fee'd to death today.

Remitly is great (by the way free $20 to new accounts) BUT-------after spending 30 minutes opening an account-------NH is excluded.

Any ideas for who will let you pay by debit card (no cash advance fee or min $10) AND small amounts ($23.00)?

Suggestions would be appreciated

I've used TransFast for a couple of years ago. They were good then can't vouch for them now but give them a try. I never had any problems. https://www.transfast.com/

Fee is $10 + currency translation. This might be fine for amounts over $100 but too much for small amounts in my opinion, thank you though.

TransFast like Remit.ly doesn't allow transactions in NH. Thanks for the suggestion though.

PayPal but she would have to have it setup and linked to her bank account. If you send as a gift it cost her nothing.

Maybe things have gotten better, but last your we did this. After hours of trying to link it to her bank account we got a "have her call (note: me the sender could not do it) a number in the US. But my experience was that it took over an hour to even get through. Eventually I recalled the money which sat in my account until I found that Paypal was paying things by using small amounts of peso + US$ and each time charging me fees that were in excess of the actual peso usage. In frustration I cashed it all in, or tried to... even though I tried to exchange and deposit it all back I still see that there is a very small amount of peso. Maybe in time that'll start attracting fees.

If WU is a nightmare--from my experience Paypal is demonic.

I own an apartment house and a tenant once paid rent via paypal. A few weeks later the guy decided he didn't want the apartment he had signed the lease for and so told Paypal that I "broke into his account and stole the money." Weeks after clearing my account Paypal took it back. I'll get it straightened out but it's taking a Superior Court lawsuit to do it.

Sorry...WU is difficult but Paypal is not to be trusted. Thank you though and I'm glad your experience was a good one.

Yeah I've been using PayPal since 2001 (eBay seller) and I have had problems with them. To be honest they kind of suck but usually for sending money they are ok. But I have never tried sending money to another country. I do sell a lot of stuff overseas and have never had a problem with payments.
