Thank you! So now I just wait. (man this is getting old haha).

I still haven't received my notices saying I was approved for i765 and i131. The status says they mailed them on the 24th though, so maybe it's just slow?

@datta.aj - oh no! I hope you get them soon! did you call USPS?

Hey Trasting,

I called USPS and registered a case with them but it's of no use now. I got my card... :dancing: . They had updated the tracking information even before it was delivered. I was looking outside my window and waiting for the mail van to arrive and as soon as it arrived I ran down and asked the mail lady if she has any mail in my name. She was nice enough to look through and there it was. My EAD card...hooorraayyy....Hope yours come soon.

I looked it up quickly, and I'll bring my birth certificate, passport, marriage certificate (for proof of my new last name) and EAD. So basically I'm bringing everything just in case :lol:

Yeah, I am doing the same. Birth certificate, passport, marriage certificate just in case and the EAD. Hopefully the SSN comes soon after applying as well. The big thing will be that I will have to drive my wife to work tomorrow and then drive to the SSN office by myself. I am still a little skeptical about driving here. Driving in India for all these years and not having any lane rules and all has made me a crazy driver...I have been practicing with a friend here for the past couple of days so I hope it will be fine...hahaha....

It was very comfortable, the IO was professional but friendly and we were interviewed together. She made us a swear an oath then had us sit down and she asked a bunch of biographical questions about me (where were you born, what's your address, where did you enter the states etc...). She asked how we met, who asked who to marry, how did you decide which one was going to immigrate and a couple of questions about our kids. We hooked about how organized my paperwork was and she took our tax return and bank info. She went through our pictures and asked me to point out our kids in the pics. The last thing she did was take my AP docs away and told me I wouldn't need them anymore bc she was approving my application!

Eazy peazy :)

Oh I ended up with a tracking number last night, then my status changed and went back to post decision activity, saying they mailed me a notice of approval yesterday. Haha I think I might get the actual card before the notice, usps says it's on way to destination.

Yep. Still waiting. Got a text yesterday but it was my i485 changing from initial review back to Testing and Interviews. My Congressman sent me paperwork to fill out for them to make inquiry, but I will wait until Monday and then return it to them.

I still have 39 days left on my EAD card but my HR department started semi-harassing me for new documentation lol. Sending me an email by 930pm!!!!! who does that? haha

Thanks Tratsing!!! Now that I have proof it has been produced I really dont care when it gets in (before the 15th, I'll start caring after that lol)..

Are you also Dallas office?

I have been checking the trend of those who got interviews from the Dallas office dating back to 2012. It all took them 6 months from filling date to interview date/approval. Only a few cases strayed from the Norm. Those cases had 3-4-5 months. My cousin got hers in 4.5 month. So I think I will rest, and implore you to do the same until the 4th month (June) of our process and then start the worry process again. Hopefully we get text/emails by then of interview dates.

Cheers!! :goofy::idea:

Yep, I'm at the Dallas office. Alright, so by your calculations I would be at interview/approval in August for AOS. Gosh, that seems so far away :P

So After getting the EAD card in mail yesterday, I happily went to the SSN office today. It seemed like by the expression of the lady who was serving me that she has never seen an EAD card. :cry: After making photocopies and all she comes back with a paper and tells me that the application is accepted but it may take upto 4 weeks to get the card since they will have to get confirmation from the Immigration department regarding the document being legitimate. :wow: ..Are you kidding me?? The SSN office doesn't even trust a card produced by the USCIS. Oh well. Looks like I have to wait longer to get a job....
