Hi all

My case complete at NVC under f2a on 27 jan 2014.

For my wife and 4 months old baby. Waiting for IL .

Another side my citizenship interview got done in dec 2013 approved.

Waiting for oath letter. Hopefully get oath for March 2014.

Question : if case left from NVC and interview scheduled for april 2014

And I get oath ceremony gor March, still I have to call NVC let them know

About my citizenship , if yes should I have to file separate i130 for my son?

Where interview date will already be initiated.

Thanks for any advice

The link has the correct information.

Once you naturalize, you will have to provide that information to NVC/Embassy. You will go from F2A to IR1/CR1 and you will have to file another I 130 for your son

you could postpone your oath ceremony till after the interview.

Good Luck

Well I try to find out the answer every where different threads. Lack of information about this topic. Just heard postpone the oath ceremony , but no one tell what reason should I have to give USCIS.

I am going to write down my experience . May be it will help some one in near future.

F2A CC Jan,27,2014. Waiting for interview letter.

F2A interview schedule for April,08,2014.

USC oath letter received for FEB,28,2014.

Write down a request to local office to postpone oath ceremony . " REASON : IF I TOOK OATH THEN MY NEW BORN WILL GOING TO LOSE STATUS UNDER DERIVATIVE VISA."

March,23,2014 again received oath ceremony letter for April,04,2014.

write down another request with the same reason. this time USCIS sent me a letter . Saying that the above date April,04,2014 oath ceremony is cancelled due to "UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES" .

Today April,08,2014 wife visa approved. Ready for oath now.
