Timeline

My fiance and I wil be traveling back to the states together with our son, will they let us go through customs at the POE together... and would I be able to accompany him to secondary questioning if neccecary?we dont want to lose eachother as our connecting flight is only an hour an a half from the previous flight landing...any one have experieince with this?

I agree... Customs will allow you to go together.... Remember, this is after you pass through the immigration point (passport control). Most POE's have a roving officer providing crowd control. Find the officer and ask which line and if you can hang together. I expect they will not have a problem.

Assuming that you mean Immigration, not Customs, the answer is yes. The USC can always go through the Visitor line, and in many cases the non-citizens will be allowed to go through the Citizen/PR line with their citizen spouse or fiance(e).

If conditions are crowded there will often be a floor monitor, as fwaguy writes, and asking that person will often get you directed to the shortest line (to balance the load).
