Paid AOS & IV. Whats next?

Hi everyone! So, just pai the AOS and IV fee. I am now sending the I864 to NVC. What do I do with the DS230? Does my parents (Whome I petitioning) needs to fill out each the DS230 and send it to me?

They have to submit DS260 online. Paper forms are for DV lottery and K visas.

The DS-260 replaces the old DS-230. Yes, they can fill it up themselves online, but once they signed the application, it atomatically sends to the NVC. I filled up the paperworks online for my parents because their internet is very slow, and my father works during the day, so he only has time during the night to do other stuffs. It saves them the headaches. I made sure though that I signed the preparer's information.

DS 230 has been replaced by DS 260...you just need their information

such as the place where they live..like the addressess, Their education background, their children or your siblings info, and passport no...

basically you can filled it up but don't submit until you completed it correctly.. you can save it and edit it..but once you submitted it there is no way to go back so you have to be careful. just save the form but don't submit it yet and you will see that option...

I just paid my aos fee (one $88 covers both parents, one case each). I am now sending I-864EZ and waiting for IV invoice.

Can i do the DS-260 myself in behalf of them, (my parents are not really into computers and no one can assist them in MAnila).

If so, is there a section that will say I petitioner helped them out and prepared/electronically submit it for them?

Yes, at the very end there is room to fill out preparer's information.

My mom knows no English and does not use internet, so there was no way for her to do it herself. I'm sure NVC understands that:) Just make sure you get the correct info from your parents so there is no confusion at the interview if they say something different than you put on the form. I had to get my mom on the phone to get some information while I was filling out the form.
