I am not sure if you are trying to be rude, but this is just one of the reason why they want us in the military people how make stupid hostile comments about something they do not know. I for one am a Muslim and I am in the NAVY, so I am more to tell you that it is not easy to be a muslim and serve. For one, sometimes people get scared to be how they are and you have to over come this fear. I sat and watch as someone tired to quote the Quran and make a mackory of muslims. It was about 1000 people in that group, do you know how it feels to have every sitting and saying things about things they do not understand. I wear hijib and do you know how tired I am of people watching in ever way possible. Tot he way I eat sometimes and it is so frustrating. So yes they need to reach out. I am learning arabic, most muslims want to learn arabic, most African-Americans are more accepted in the Arab world. I know because I have been there and done it. I am ablet o get where they can not it is a matter of security. They do not care about muslims we serve a purpose and I do not know if you understand the military but it is also a way to get people to intregrate in to the society of the host country. Believe it or not, go and look up the Native Americans, my mother is this too. This country is on a break and to see the military attempt to add this part of society shows how willing the military and how much better it is than the civilian world. I find it hard but I keep myself together, because yes you have to hold your up. But I wear hijib and when I was transfering the command that I was leaving from called to tell my new command that I wear the scarve. Not about my job performance and my ability to benefit them. But that I was muslim and I wear a freckin scarf. Funny. They of course can not say it to my face and this is what is good baout the situation. But yes they are doing a good job do you know how it is at the mosque. When I go to the Moquse and a sister asked me about my job and I tried to keep it to myself. She asked and I guess I felt good about our relationship but she went off on me and we almost fought, DURING RAMADAN. So it is not just for the military but also for the understand between the two.

Sometimes I am black balled because of somethings in the Mosque so imgaine that. No it is not speical being a muslim, if you do something wrong they are all over you with questions and everything. Ramadan, for instances, I was eating during the time and they remindered me of this. So I said very loudly that "WHEN A WOMAN ISS ON HER PERIOD SHE DOES NOT FAST!" Boy they where embrassed but that was not the point the point is, since when did they become the judge. I personally do not want the understanding, I want the country to stop attacking, I want to left alone, and I want to be able to excisire my first admenment rights. Muslim have contributed a lot to this country and for the government to say "I want to understand." Is great? For them to do outreach is great because since Spet 11th, it has been hard and not only this but islam is the fastest growing religion in the US and they is more than 0.6% muslims. Alot of people try to hide who they are because they do not want to be attacked or killed. Just look at the Barberic behavior that has occured since this event. I am in Italy right now and the EID is coming and I went to the chapel and I saw nothing but Jewish and Christain holidays. The EID is one of the most important times for a muslim and because I do not celebrate christmas they ast like I do not have a day for me. So tomorrow I am going to see if this new military is what they say it is and I am going to call and ask if they will have something for the individauls that celebrate this day. And the funny things is you do not see that much Jewish stuff either.

It is funny because the best thing that America has is the diversity and yet we do not capital on it, 2006-2007 is a little late to try this, they shoudl have started long time ago. however, Bush needed the emotion of America which of course is how he got the vote, so he played this "Ialsmic" game until peopel started getting killed. They say sometimes your emeny is sitting in your back yard and they could be saying that the muslims are just this.

And just one more thing, I am very happy to see that the government is going to pay me to learn Arabic, thanks taxpayers.
