Hi, I got the first I-94 when I entered the US as a student. Then I applied for H-1B while in the US and got another I-94. And later I applied for E-2 (investor visa) and got one more I-94, again while in the US. So, I had 3 I-94s altogether. When I left the US, I only gave the airline personnel the latest I-94 which was the one from E-2 approval notice. My wife also had 2 I-94s, one from H-4 visa when she entered the US and the other from E-2 while in the US. However, she surrendered at the time of departure the I-94 from H-4 visa which was stapled in her passport.

Would that be enough or should I surrender all those 3 I-94s? If I have to return those 3, I guess I will mail the remaining to USCIS with the boarding pass. I thought at the time of leaving the US that giving only the latest I-94 should be enough. And maybe my wife should have done the same thing instead of giving back the I-94 from H-4 visa. If anyone knows about this or any resources that I should look into, please let me know. Thanks. Chew

None, stop worrying about I-94s. They're secondary evidence of leaving US and nobody really pays any attention to them.

Thanks for the quick reply. How would the immigration know that I left the country then?

By collecting data from the airlines. How do you think they do it now, since I-94 doesn't really exist anymore ?

I guess I'm just the old school kind of guy. Thanks for letting me know. I can stop worrying about this now.
