So a little background : I have EAD , my green card is mailed to me yesterday (it was approved) and I found a job. They called me today from work and told me that there is a ssa case my SSN info doesn't match and they cannot find me in e-verify. I did a self check and it said unable to proceed which is really weird. It might have to be the fact that today I changed my SSN name to my new married name as it appears and in Green card and EAD. It might have to be also that I applied AOS with my First name - maiden name as middle name - last married name and my interviewer told me to change it because its not valid to add a middle name (I didnt have one) and changed it into first name -married name. Now I have to go to the SSN office again after work and that all terrifies me. Its my dream job and I already failed.. Did that ever happened to any of you guys? I don't know what to do.

Go back to SSA and sort it out. Also, go to uscis.gov and there's a e-verify user manual for employers - download and read through it - it should give you some idea on what's going on, what to do.

Here's the link: http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/USCIS/E-Verify/Customer%20Support/E-Verify%20User%20Manual%20for%20Employers%20R3%200-%20Final.pdf

You'll be fine - you just have to fix the SSA record - you have 8 business days to get to SSA and then they have 10 business days to fix the problem. Good luck and let us know how it goes!
