Hello..Ive been reading this post for a month already so I decided to join last night. I am a member other forum designed for Filipina and this site is international with different countries, stories and background and I hope I can meet a lot of friends here. :)

We filed our case last July 2006 and was approved September 2006. After that, me and my fiance was waiting to know my interview schedule and feel frustrated when the US Embassy Manila dont know when it will be. For us, it is really hard to wait and hard to plan. We always emailed our attorney and asked them if they can do something to expedite our case but they cant do anything about it, they just emailed them and see what the embassy actions. Our first wedding date was Noverber 2006, then moved to February 2007. Only this second week of December, the US Embassy Manila released the list for February schedule and we are not on that list, so another frustration again. We thought that my interview will be March already.

But when I called the Embassy again last Dec 20 and Oh My! I was soooo happy about the good news, they said they just sent the packet to my address on Dec 19. Yes! I was like a kid jumping in circle and my younger sister thought I was insane that time. I was laughing and smiling alone! I was really happy so I called my Fiance to inform him about it. I checked our attorney's site but they didnt update our timeline yet, I guess, they dont know yet the good news

Now, we are planning to get married March 2007. My interview will be February 23. Please pray for me and to all the members who will have their interview soon.

Thanks guyz!

Hi Vhi, welcome to VJ and congratulations on getting an interview date. I only recently filed our petition in October, after marrying my wife in September. We had waited over 15 months before that for my divorce to be final, so we have been waiting quite a long time already. Fely lives in Zambales and I, like your fiancé, live in California. I think you will like it here, the weather is comfortable and the coast is very much like the Philippines.

Thanks Gary!

Congratulations!!!! You are very lucky and blessed to get married to a Filipina. I saw your pictures and you looks so happy and very much in love! I wish your waiting to have an interview will not that long. I live in Manila, but havent been to Zambales yet. Oh..maybe we could have get together once Fely is there already. My fiance always told me that California is a nice place and I will like it there. He lives in Riverside and have another place in Dana Point.

I wish you all the best and Merry Christmas!!

Yes I do feel lucky and blessed to be married to a Filipina. It has been one of the best experiences of my life, and we're not even living together yet. I actually live about 400 miles north of Riverside, but I try to get down to Disneyland often which is not too far from there, so a get together could be a possibility in the future.

Merry Christmas to you and Mike and have a Happy New Year also.

Yea, the first time I went there I flew into Cebu and then we took the ferry to Cagayan. We started flying everywhere because it was much quicker. We took the ferry from Iligan to Dumaguete and that was a very long ride, got bored! I do love the Philippines and plan on spending a lot of time there starting in about 4 years!
