Hi all,

I have been in contact with a few US employers interested in my background but I am not sure I qualify for a Visa because I keep seeing everywhere that you need a job offer and they can sponsor me but I only see TN and H1 visas which I don't believe I fit.

I am a Senior Talent Acquisition advisor in my current role. I have a 3 year college diploma and 8 years working experience. I work specifically in high level IT roles and consulting.

Employers have expressed it is tough to find good people in this area but I still cant find anything that qualifies business minded candidates to get there?

help/advice? Thanks everyone!!

It sounds like you qualify for an H-1B, but the problem is they are very limited in number. I haven't keep up with the availability windows lately, but it could be late in 2014 before you could actually get one.

Thanks for replying, looks like I would need a schooling background in Computer Engineering but I don't. I am definitely on the business side, just working within the computer engineering space.

Anyone else have a similar situation or thoughts?

If your diploma related to your occupation? How difficult would it be to upgrade to a degree?

You can use would experience in place of education, but these sort of issues should really be discussed with the Employers Immigration Lawyer. Very fact specific.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”
