Hey charilyn! Congrats on ur approval smile.png

You can start calling this week and ask if they have already received your case..try to follow up every week if they still haven't. You can also start preparing documents needed for the AOS and IV packages while you wait for your case#. Read the first two posts in the NVC filers dec2013 thread, theyre pretty helpful. smile.png

thank you .... so much for the advice ... does my husband need to download the form I-864 AOS package or it will be the NVC will going to provide the forms?.... or we can do it online?

Hello Charilyn! Congratulations! You may follow what krispykreme told you. You may also take a look at this website for general advice on CR-1 visas: http://travel.state..../info_3731.html

There is a lot of good advice here on the entire process.

After you receive NOA2, USCIS will transfer your file to the National Visa Center (NVC) in New Hampshire. The NVC will run security checks on us and will assemble our file. They will issue an invoice for our Green Card fee.Once we receive the receipt for payment, we can submit our documents and forms to the NVC.

Please keep us posted with your updates. Good luck to us.

-Ema

thank you emma for the advice... i will surely keep updates on my status in here ... Good Luck to us

He can fill it out through the computer or by pen, but he def needs to print them out and mail the package to nvc after paying the AOS fee. Only forms ds260 and ds261 can be submitted online.

Good luck to us ladies! :)

"The DS-261 replaces the old DS-3032. So, instead of sending the DS-3032 once a case number is assigned, you'll have to wait for the DS-261 to become available on the online forms portal (link in the first post). Once it's available, fill it out. It's exactly like the DS-3032, except online. "

"The DS-260 replaces the old DS-230. As before, you will still submit the IV package, just without the DS-230. The DS-260 will be done online. For me, it was only available once the IV appeared as PAID in the payment portal. Not sure if it's changed or not at all since then. But, at the most, it'll be a few days after you pay the IV bill. Like the DS-261, it'll be on the online forms portal (link in first post). You can do the DS-260 before or after you send the IV package, it doesn't matter. As long as it gets done, NVC doesn't care."

Those infos are from Saylin's posts, you can get more info from here http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/468369-nvc-filers-december-2013/ and also from the link posted by Ema.

Called NVC just now, was on hold for about 20mins. Guy who answered talked so fast we prob only talked for a minute lol they havent received our case yet and said it might take upto 8weeks

Btw, he asked for my case number and i gave the uscis one instead, after checking he said the case is not showing up in their system yet so he asked me again if i have my noa2 and i said yes. He told me to read the first paragraph, and i was like ok just a sec let me find it (coz my husband just sent a picture of it and i have to find it in our fb conversation from yesterday hehe) then he said ok nvm and he read it to me instead and explained that the case was shipped but not yet received by nvc blah blah.. He said i can call back anytime to check again.

Same here, my husband called NVC and was told that our case was not there yet. We may expedite the process since we expedite it with USCIS when they receive the case already and he was advised to callback for further updates.

Thanks for your update. I am hopeful and so impatient with this, I believe we need a timeout and enjoy our Christmas and New Year for the mean time.

Advance Merry Christmas to all!

Hi guys, our NOA 2 was approved last Nov. 29 and we got an email from USCIS that they shipped our case to NVC last Dec. 3, My husband called NCV last night (Manila time) and they told him they received it last Dec. 24 and to call they after 2-3 weeks for the case number. What documents from my end do I need to prepare while waiting for the case number? I'm quite overwhelmed. hehe.

Yay! I just got some update from an fb friend who got their NOA 2 last Dec. 6 and they got an e-mail from NVC! dancin5hr.gif

Here's the content:

"The NVC recently received this petition. The appropriate agent (applicant, petitioner, or attorney) will receive instructions for the further processing of this petition within 6 to 8 weeks."

I am so glad that we finally see some progress here. All the best for us. Happy New Year to all and God bless goofy.gif

If you have some updates, I would be glad to hear from you. Thank you.

Usually it is the beneficiary since it is all about him/her, but the petitioner can also fill it out on his/her behalf
