Biometrics Re-take

Hello everyone! I just received a mail from USCIS this morning stating "the FBI was unable to process your fingerprint card. In order for the USCIS to continue processing your application, it will be necessary to have your fingerprints retaken."

I had my biometrics done on Dec 09, 2013 then a week after, this notice. The date stated for my second biometrics is January 02, 2014, but couldn't wait any much longer so as soon as i read the mail, i rushed to the USCIS to have an early walk-in. Everything went fine except that the lady that took my fingerprints commented that i have super fine fingerprints and that she was having a hard time capturing them again.

Did anyone experience the same thing?

My concerns are: 1. Would this delay my application? 2. If my second biometrics is still deemed unacceptable by the FBI, will they be asking me over again to go back and have my biometrics redone?

No, you only get two bites of the cherry with regards to biometrics. If you fail a second time to have them captured successfully then you will instead be RFE'd for police certificates from all jurisdictions you have lived in within the US in the past 5 years.
