Question 18 isn't at all based on tax forms. Question 18 is asking for your CURRENT income. That's how much you're making right now, in 2013. So, if you're on salary and are making $50k right now, you'd put $50,000 for question 18. This is based on pay stubs and/or an employment letter. I don't know what tax transcript you're talking about, but there is none for question 18.

Only question 19 is based on past tax information.

I'm freelance so can not know my total income for 2013 until I receive all of my W2 and 1099.so if I understand the error is on question 18 because my answer on that question is based on my 2012 total income

You said the checklist said the error was on question 19 though, so why are you concerned about question 18?

because you just say question 18 concern 2013

Yes, it does. The question itself asks for CURRENT income; current meaning right now, in 2013. I still don't see your point though as you said the checklist was talking about question 19, not question 18.

It says right in the question if you filed a 1040, then to use total income. You only use adjusted gross income if you filed a 1040EZ.
