No Year on Airline Ticket/Boarding Pass!

I was just reading in this forum where someone said they got an RFE stating that their airline tickets / boarding passes didn't have the year on the date.

Then I took a look at what I've just sent in and noticed mine didn't have the year either! But apparently airlines don't print the year - they just print the month and day on the tickets and boarding passes.

Has anyone else had a problem with this?

I sent in my online booking too printed directly from my email to back up my boarding pass! If you have visa and stamps on your passport, it should have year and you be fine

ditto what janice said.. you can use the passport stamps to show the matching date as well as the email confirmation from the airline that was sent to you. If you don't have it saved (example orbitz saves your trips for 2 years I believe) then call the airline you booked with see if they can send you something.

My boarding passes dont have the year either so I didn't keep them I am going to use my passport stamps along with the airline emails showing my flight dates which will match the passport stamp dates.

Yes, That was my only RFE. No year was printed on the boarding pass. I sent other proof that had dates but they sent RFE anyway.

My reply to RFE was again copy boarding pass front and back, the luggage claim sticker on the back had the complete date. In addition I sent copy of my flight confirmation, receipt of purchasing the airline ticket, and copy of all pages of my U.S. Passport even though it is only valid for 3 more years.

Six weeks later we received NOA-2

Ah! Chris illustrates why I asked this question. The other people I've read about getting RFEs for this reason, like Chris, also said they sent other evidence, such as visa stamps in passports, and travel booking itineraries (as did I), but they still got an RFE! I don't know how USCIS could expect boarding passes and tickets to have the year on them when apparently none of them do - so seems like a very shady reason to send an RFE. Especially for those who have included other unquestionable evidence.
