Hi guys , here we are ready to send out our AoS packet to USCIS but -

We filed our k1 petition, all documents and papers before I moved to the US using our OLD address, which is my husband's parents place. We moved a month ago and filled out the AOS papers using the NEW address.

Should I notify USCIS online about the address change before I send the packet? Or should I just use the new address everywhere? Please share your experiences.

Thank you in advance!!!

I hope somebody will answer. I used the same address, period. Even when we moved. The Chinese embassy had a hissy fit when I changed my email address. Before I moved. From what the NVS had. And made me prove my new email was mine. For two damn weeks. I had to play the send emails and wait / we don't answer the phone game. And I decided to leave my address the same , period.

I did that too. Soon after i arrived in US we bought a house and I filled AOS using new address and had no problems getting all the letters etc. if you want to be on a safe side you can use the online change of address https://egov.uscis.gov/coa/displayCOAForm.do and then post the package. Use the new address for your AOS submittal.

Don't worry about address changes at the moment.

That's it, that's all.

I second Darnell. The USCIS will correspond with whatever address is in the AOS papers.

Once AOS is complete, you will be a permanent resident, at which point you will use form AR-11 to report any future change of address.

I forgot to file our change of address after we moved, and was a bit panicked too when I realized it prior to completing our AOS (and this almost a year after the move I think). I changed the address using the online form, and wrote a letter explaining my oversight. All was well. I believe it is only when they can see you deliberately did not provide notification that a problem would ensue. I had filled out forwarding of address paperwork with the USPS, so clearly we weren't deliberately evading anyone. It was not an issue. Use your new address.

I'm filling out the aos and corresponding forms now we moved in the beginning of August but didn't change address.  Old address is my parents. At any time will they ask to see a lease? Was thinking to just change adress after aos is approved
